With the upcoming and anticipated Barangay and Sanguniang Kabataan Elections, the Albay Provincial Management Team (PMT) headed by DILG Albay Provincial Director Arnel Renato L. Madrideo in coordination with the Provincial Local Youth Development Office led by LYD Officer II Rhondon Ricafort and Prof. Dominador L. Nace PhD; NSTP Director of Bicol University as service provider  conducted the final coordination meeting last April 26, 2018 at the Blue Room, Governor’s Office, Capitol Building, Legazpi City which  highlighted the agenda on the preparation of the conduct of Sangguninang Kabataan Mandatory Training.  In attendance were the Local Youth Development Officers of 3 Cities and 15 Municipalities of Albay with the City and Municipal Local Government Operations Officers of Albay. Said activity was set to discuss the  DILG Memorandum Circular 2018-48 dated April 5, 2018, entitled, “Guidelines in the Conduct of Sanguniang Kabataan Mandatory Training (SKMT)”. The discussion was focused on the roles and responsibilities of the Provincial Management Team, SKMT Modules and Session Guide and Checklist on the Conduct of the training. The dress code, required items to bring, training venue requirements, administration of evaluation sheets and the issuance of certificate of completion were also emphasized. The team also discussed the actions to be undertaken if newly elected SK Officials failed to attend the SKMT. The SKMT LGU schedules were also finalized.

In addition, the Team discussed with Prof. Nace the preparation being undertaken by the Local Resources Institute as mandated in the Circular as they partake on the SKMT. Lastly, the team agreed to collect a Registration Fee of Php 1, 600.00 per participant to cover the expenses of the training.

The SK Mandatory Training for the province of Albay is all set with the 18 LGUs ready for the conduct of the Activity.
