Following the conduct of the – – / () -; September 17, 2024, marked the culmination of the sixth batch of the said training.
During the discussion, the Sangguniang Kabataan bellowed in excitement as MindConcept Solutions explained each simplified feature of the system. This allowed them to complete each form in a lesser amount of time, compared to the significantly longer period it usually took.
Participants enthusiastically shared their impressions from the training, with several key insights:
SK Chairperson Alex Berlon Jr. from Barangay Lacag in Daraga, Albay, expressed that the experience was incredibly enlightening. He emphasized the importance of sharing these newfound insights with others in the community.
SK Treasurer Erick M. Lotino of Barangay Sipi, also in Daraga, noted how much he enjoyed the activity. He highlighted that the training significantly streamlined their tasks, and he passionately suggested that such a session should have taken place before the SKMT, as the system could have greatly reduced their workload.
Marie Angela B. Litana, the SK Chairperson from Barangay Sagpon, shared her perspective as a member of the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation. She acknowledged the challenges involved in crafting the Annual Budget, particularly the Annual Barangay Youth Investment Program (ABYIP). Grateful for the opportunity to learn new methodologies, she noted that the training would make the development of SK plans and forms much more manageable.
Overall, the participants unanimously agreed that the training was immensely beneficial, equipping them with valuable tools for their roles.
Rey B. Balaguer, Chief of the Local Governance Capacity and Development Section (LGCDS), highlighted the significant benefits of the new system for document turnover. With its implementation, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials in Albay will no longer face the challenges associated with past document handovers.
Participants will return to their home barangays with a copy of the system, fully prepared for installation and implementation.
