At least 46 barangays in the Municipality of Libon, Albay underwent the Orientation of the FY 2023 Local Government Support Fund- Financial Assistance to the Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU) last January 15, 2024, at Macapagal Gymnasium, Libon, Albay. Upon request of the recipient LGU, the Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU) of DILG Regional Office V together with DILG Albay Provincial Office provided technical expertise on the guidelines for the utilization and disbursement of funds under the Local Budget Circular (LBC) 150.

The same activity was conducted for the recipient barangays in the Municipality of Guinobatan together with Barangay Buenavista in Legazpi City and Barangay Villahermosa of Rapu-Rapu, Albay, Municipality of Polangui, and Oas last January 9 and 10, 2024, respectively.

The activity aims to provide a uniform understanding of the prescribed guidelines, policies, and procedures on the implementation of FY 2023 LGSF-FA consistent with the FY 2023 GAA, RA 11936. It also ensures the LGUs, beneficiary barangays, and other stakeholders adhere to the process and their responsibilities concerning the program.
