The DILG Albay Provincial Operations Office, through its Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU) and in collaboration with the Municipal Engineering Office of LGU Sto. Domingo, conducted a thorough site inspection of the ongoing Financial Assistance to the Local Government Unit (FALGU) project—the Construction of the Municipal Building in Sto. Domingo, Albay—on August 21, 2024. The inspection was led by Engineer III Mark Joseph T. Obo, Engineer II Esperanza B. Cuya, and PEO II Majestie A. Magas of DILG Albay, alongside OIC Municipal Engineer Charl Julluis Balbin. The DILG engineers provided essential technical assistance to the LGU, focusing on optimizing the efficiency of LGU employees, ensuring the quality of materials and maintaining strict adherence to safety standards to secure the project’s long-term success.
Additionally, on August 20, 2024, the DILG Albay Provincial Operations Office conducted an orientation to the focal person of LGU Sto. Domingo. This orientation covered key programs such as Subaybayan, the Results-based Monitoring and Evaluation of LGU Infrastructure Projects (RLIP), and the Rapid Subproject Sustainability Assessment (RSSA). The objective was to enhance the capacity of LGU personnel in monitoring, reporting and ensuring the sustainability of infrastructure projects, thereby improving governance and long-term service delivery. The orientation was facilitated by Engineer II Esperanza B. Cuya, PEO II Majestie A. Magas of DILG Albay, and Engineer Joahna Paula, the focal person for Sto. Domingo. As part of the technical assistance, DILG Albay also supported the LGU with Subaybayan, particularly on geotagging non-geotagged photos for re-uploading to the platform.
