On October 9, 2024, the DILG Albay, led by LGOO VI Maffe Banzuela B. Balucio, including Engrs. III Marc Jose Obo and Clint Borromeo, Engrs. II Simoun John Elmer Santidad and Esperanza Cuya-Bedar, and PEO II Engr. Randy Catura and PEO II Majestie Magas, inspected emergency rescue vehicles of 18 barangays of Bacacay, Albay.

Rescue vehicles inspected were from the following barangays: Brgy. 4 Poblacion, Brgy. 1 Poblacion, Vinisitahan Island, Banao, Pongco, Cawayan, Bariw, Brgy. 11 Poblacion, Brgy. 9 Poblacion, Brgy. 2 Poblacion, Cagraray, Gubat Iraya, Namantao, Brgy. 8 Poblacion, Namanday, Langaton, Tambongon, and Brgy. 14 Poblacion.

The inspection was done to confirm that the rescue vehicles, funded by the 2024 Local Government Support Fund (LGSF), are ready for use in emergencies. These vehicles play an essential role in helping the municipality handle medical crises, natural disasters, and other emergencies.
