The Local Government Unit of Bacacay conducted its groundbreaking ceremony for the Construction of Evacuation Center in Bacacay East Central School Compound last November 16, 2017. The said project, which is located in Brgy. 13, Bacacay, Albay, is funded under the 2017 Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities (ADM) Program of DILG.

The DILG being the supervisory agency of the ADM projects participated the said ceremony. In attendance were Arnel Renato L. Madrideo, DILG Albay Provincial Director, together with Mrs. Fe T. Jadie, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer of Bacacay, Engr. Alvin Magdaong, Technical Engineer of DILG Albay, Ms. Jonalyn Bazar and Ellane D. Badong, Community Development Officers for the ADM Projects. The said activity was also participated by the Municipal Mayor, Honorable Dinky Romano, Engr. Edgar Quiambao, Municipal Engineer and other local functionaries of the LGU.

The project shall serve as emergency shelter for the residents of Brgy. 13, as well as residents of nearby barangays in times of disaster. It is expected to completed by June of this year.
