On September 12, 2024, LGU Camalig with the leadership of Mayor Carlos Irwin G. Baldo, underwent the much-anticipated National Validation for the 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG), national validators from DILG Region VIII – LGOO III Art Robin Nagpacan and LGOO II Nadem Ray E. Uy.

The thorough validation includes facility inspection, interviews, and document review to ten (10) Governance Areas of SGLG highlighting the town’s commitment to transparency and good governance.

The validation concluded with resounding success, as LGU Camalig shall also be included in the list for endorsement to the Council of Good Local Governance (CGLG); a testament of their unwavering dedication and firm commitment to excellence in local governance. This marks a milestone for SGLG in Camalig [shall be] Tuloy-[tuloy] po in the coming years.
