In support to the Department’s campaign for “Matino, Mahusay, at Maasahang Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Officials” and in coordination with Commission on Elections (COMELEC), Philippine National Police (PNP) and other stakeholders, the DILG City and Municipal Operations Offices enjoined all local government units within the province to conduct Voter’s Education Initiatives.

The activity is being conducted to ensure a free, honest, peaceful, and credible Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections on May 14, 2018. The campaign started as early as March 5, until May 2, 2018 covering the 3 Cities and 15 Municipalities of Albay. Voter’s Education was done through meetings, fora, and discussions which coincided with the conduct of the First Semester Barangay Assembly.
