DILG Albay, 1st in the series of Regional-Provincial Consultation and Strategic Planning on Communicating for Perpetual End for Extreme Violence and Forming Alliance towards Positive Peace and Enriched Communities (C4PEACE) at Kawa-Kawa Function Hall, New City Hall, Ligao City, Albay.
The DILG Albay under the guidance of PD Ray B. Caceres, CESO V headed the two-part activity entitled C4PEACE CONSULTATION AND STRATEGIC PLANNING wherein, the first part highlighted the CEREMONIAL SIGNING OF THE DEED OF DONATION between CITY OF LIGAO and DILG RV; and the Strategic Planning/Interfacing activity.
In his welcoming message, Hon. Fernando Gonzalez, City Mayor of Ligao, emphasized that the strategic planning activity of the DILG is vital in assisting to LGUs as they face extreme challenges in the recent governance developments; for the LGUs to be guided and directed towards excellence and promote quality of life to the inhabitants.
Also, Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober, Jr. CESO V, Regional Director, expressed gratitude to the support given by the host LGU, as it further extends its generosity to the office thru the lot donation for the Provincial Office of Albay.
Meanwhile, the Ceremonial Signing of the Deed of Donation between the City Government of Ligao represented by Hon. Fernando V. Gonzalez and the DILG RV headed by Regional Director – Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober, Jr. CESO V, witnessed by ARD Jhoaden G. Lucero, CESO V and PD Ray B. Caceres, CESO V, together with DILG Albay personnel, concluded the first part of the activity.
The Interfacing proper commenced with the Presentation of the BIDA Praise Criteria by ARD Lucero, followed by the Updates from the Divisions/Units, with each Division Chief, presenting. The issues and concerns are to be deliberately discussed during the World Café to facilitate determination of performance gaps, reinforce areas in the furtherance of function, and achieve greater results.
In the success of FY 2023 Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) and Capacitating Urban Communities for Peace and Development (CUCPD) implementation in the Region, we have engaged 100% of the target barangays to which Albay has 5 barangays under RCSP and has finished CUCPD implementation in the previous years.
In order to achieve same success for this year’s implementation of the programs under C4PEACE the Regional Management with the Provincial Team shall come together for a consultation and strategic planning activity in preparation for FY 2024 RCSP and CUCPD. The said consultation will facilitate determination of performance gaps and reinforce areas in project implementation of RCSP and CUCPD and share strategies.
Further, the C4PEACE CONSULTATION AND STRATEGIC PLANNING WITH PROVINCIAL OFFICES activity will provide venue to cover arrangements for the deployment of personnel, finalization of calendar and activities, and financial requirements.
