A total of 143 Newly-Elected Officials from the 13 barangays of Tiwi, Albay take part in the first batch of the Barangay Newly Elected Officials (BNEO) towards Grassroots Renewal and Empowerment for Accountable and Transparent (GREAT) Barangays Program in Charisma Hotel, Guinobatan, Albay.

The Barangay Newly-Elected Officials (BNEO) is a term-based flagship program that serves as a capacity development intervention designed to enhance the competencies of elected barangay officials to transform them into champions of excellence in basic service delivery and bring the government closer to the people.

Facilitated by the DILG Provincial Office of Albay, this two-day activity aims to enhance the capacities of barangays, particularly improving the competencies of barangay officials, staff, and key stakeholders for them to perform their tasks effectively, improve the quality of service, and uphold good governance in the barangay.
