DILG Albay conducts FY 2024 FALGU site validation, LGSF-FALGU discussion, FALGU Knowledge Product distribution, and FY 2023 SBDP site inspection in LGU Tiwi.
On October 10, 2024, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Albay team, led by LGOO VI Regino M. Serrano III, along with Engrs. III Marc Jose Obo and Clint Borromeo, and Engrs. II Simoun John Elmer Santidad and Esperanza Cuya-Bedar, conducted a comprehensive inspection of FY 2023 SBDP project and on-site validation of FY 2024 FALGU projects in Tiwi, Albay. The activity covered nine barangays: Naga, Sogod, Biyong, Bolo, Dap-Dap, Gajo, Joroan, Mayong, and Misibis.
Geo-tagged photos of the projects were taken for documentation, which will be uploaded into the Subaybayan system for monitoring and evaluation.
In addition to the inspections, on October 11, the DILG team, alongside PEO II Engr. Randy Catura and PEO II Majestie Magas, held a discussion with barangay officials about the documentary requirements for both infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects under the LGSF-FALGU. The session, which was divided into phases before, during, and after procurement, provided clear guidelines to ensure smooth project implementation.
Also, PDMU Albay distributed Knowledge Product titled “FALGU: Guidelines on the Release and Utilization of the LGSF-FA to LGUs,” which highlights key points from LBC No. 155. This guide will assist barangay officials in selecting projects that best serve their communities and comply with national requirements.
