Home is an ideal nest that nurtures the family as the basic unit of the society. Home enables the family to perform its roles and responsibilities to the society. Just like a home, an office shelters a working official family to perform its role in governance of society.
Last May 2, 2018, , the personnel and staff and some invited guests witnessed the laying of the cornerstone for the construction of a new office building— their new home at the Regional Office Center Site, Rawis, Legazpi City.
The groundbreaking ceremony was preceded by a short program. The highlight of the program was the message of RD Biet Pastor who said that she hopes that the new establishment will serve as an inspiration to the DILG Albay employees to continuously provide excellent performance in service delivery to the clientele. In attendance were Provincial Director Arnel Renato L. Madrideo and Albay provincial staff along with Atty. Zalman Uddin, Regional Legal Officer, Engr. Renato Rolon, PDMU Chief and concurrent DILG Albay Program Manager.
Rev fr Jucef Garcia blessed the site where the office is to be built. A message of commitment was delivered by Arch. Orencio Tumaob in behalf of Icons Construction Development Corporation after the laying of the time capsule as a confirmation of their commitment to complete the project on time.
In six months, the new Albay Provincial Office rises at the Regional center site. Everyone in the audience looks forward to the day this project is completed. The Albay Provincial Team could only swear to remain steadfast in their commitment to the Department— that of being Matnio, Mahusay and Maaasahan.
