Department of the Interior and Local Government  ROV Holds Website Development Training for Provinces

The Department of the Interior and Local Government, Regional Office No. V (DILG RO V) organized an orientation on website development and training on January 25-29, 2016 at the Jennifer’s Garden  and Hotel, Legazpi City

The  training is in compliance with the Administrative Order No. 39, s. 2013 issued by His Excellency, President Benigno S. Aquino III, entitled “Mandating the Government Agencies to migrate to the Government Web Hosting Services of the Department of Science and Technology-Information and Communications Technology Office.

Further mandates the government agencies to migrate to GWHS to be administered, operated and maintained by the DOST-ICTO. All current web hosting contracts of government agencies shall not be renewed and refrained from entering new web hosting contracts.

Mr. Randy Pallones, a consultant of the Presidential Communications and Strategic Planning and Development Office , Office of the President, oriented the trainees on how to make a GWT (Government Website Template). The participants are expected to come up with a web design in order for them to be given the certificate of completion.

The participants were personnel from the Provincial Offices of DILG. The activity aims to provide Web Development skills to personnel who will be in charge of  Web design and  maintenance of each province.
