DILG Region V and DILG Region III have joined forces to enhance quality and efficient basic services delivery to their clients by signing a Memorandum of Understanding on June 23, 2023, at the Athlete’s Stadium, New Clark City Pampanga. This collaborative knowledge-sharing network is the Department’s initiative to be the primary catalyst of excellence in local governance. Their shared objective is to collaborate and strengthen their internal and external knowledge, focusing on local governance capacity building and performance excellence.
Through the engagement of their respective Local Governance Regional Resource Centers (LGRRCs), Region V and Region III aim to foster a culture that encourages learning and sharing information and knowledge. This collaborative effort involves key players and prime movers in local governance who collectively articulate policies. The ultimate goal is to promote excellence in local governance by harnessing the power of continuous learning and information exchange.
The MOU was signed by DILG R3’s Regional Director (RD), Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda, CESO III and DILG R5’s Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr., CESO V. R3’s Assistant Regional Director (ARD) Jay E. Timbreza, CESO V, and R5’s Assistant Regional Director (ARD) Jhoaden G. Lucero CESO V also signed as witnesses. Also, present at the significant milestone was DILG Sorsogon Provincial Director Arnel Renato L. Madrideo, Ms. Angie Layugan, Chief of the Human Resource Development Division (HRDD) of the Local Government Academy (LGA), and R5’s LGMED Chief Darlyn D. Ayende and LGCDD Assistant Division Chief Mae G. Clemente.
