The Local Government Academy (LGA), in collaboration with the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region V (DILG Region V), conducted the Consultation Workshop with the Local Governance Regional Resource Centers (LGRRCs) last February 04, 2025 at the Ninong’s Hotel Legazpi City.

This significant event gathered key stakeholders from DILG Regional Management team headed by DILG V Regional Director Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr. CESO III along with the LGRRC Core Team headed by Assistant Regional Director Jhoaden G. Lucero CESO IV, Provincial sub-LGRRC Directors and LGRRC Focal Persons, and resource persons from the Local Government Academy headed by Assistant Division Chief of the Local Governance Training and Development Division Elmo L. Dimaano and Assistant Division Chief of the Research and Policy Development Division Euly Q. Enrique.

Building on the insights from the LGRRC assessment held last November 13-15, 2024, the workshop focused on evaluating achievements, refining current strategies, and identifying opportunities for strengthened partnerships between the LGA, DILG Region V, and Local Research Institutes. The participants worked collectively to develop a comprehensive capacity development plan for 2025 and beyond, aimed at equipping LGRRCs to better support local government units in delivering quality public service.

This consultation served as a platform for exchanging experiences, addressing challenges, and fostering innovation, reinforcing the commitment to a knowledge-driven approach in governance. Through Sharing Knowledge, Achieving Excellence, the initiative continues to contribute to the sustainable development and empowerment of communities across Region V.
