DILG Region 5 through its Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC), officially launches the Barangay Newly Elected Officials (BNEO) Localized Module: Facilitator’s Toolkit.

This initiative is Bicol LGRRC’s proactive action to properly equip newly elected barangay officials as they take on their vital roles in grassroots governance. Carefully crafted to reflect the realities and needs of barangays in the region, this localized learning resource equips BNEO trainers with six core modules covering local governance fundamentals, participatory development planning, budgeting, ethics, and DILG programs for barangays.

Through this localized learning resource, DILG Region 5 reaffirms its commitment to building a matino, mahusay, at maasahang local government. More than just a set of training tools, this module is a symbol of our continued dedication to capacitating local leaders, ensuring that every barangay in Bicol is very capable to serve its people with integrity, competence, and accountability.
