DILG R5 held its Local Governance Regional Resource Center – Multi-Stakeholders Advisory Committee (LGRRC-MSAC) First Semester Meeting last June 28, 2022 at Legazpi City, Albay.
Presided by DILG 5 Regional Director Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda, CESO III, the Council discussed several pipelined activities of the Department that will involve the inputs and participation of the MSAC members.
The Innovations Management Banking and Knowledge (IMBAK) Sharing System conceptualized by LGOO V Leonard Champ Navarro II was introduced to the MSAC members for potential collaborative activities. LGOO V Sheena Mae P. De la Cruz also presented the Capacity Development Analytics which focuses on the identified capacity development needs of the Local Government Units (LGUs) relative to the implementation of full devolution, while LGOO V Ivy S. Ramirez discussed the enhanced Barangay Development (eBDP) Plan formulation. LGRRC Coordinator and LGCDD Chief Ma. Ruthel P. Gigantoca presented the status of mandated LGU plans as well as the possible initiatives where MSAC partners can be tapped to provide assistance to our LGUs.
The MSAC partners actively participated during the meeting and expressed their intent to support the endeavors of the MSAC. They also presented their program offerings and services that can benefit our LGUs.
DILG 5 Assistant Regional Director Jhoaden G. Lucero, EnP, MM, CESO V extended her appreciation to the MSAC members for their efforts in helping improve the service delivery of the LGUs in Region 5.
LGRRC-MSAC also welcomes new addition to the roster of its partners – Philippine Army – 9th Infantry Division, National Police Commission 5, Commission on Human Rights, Philippine Red Cross Legazpi-Albay Chapter, and Tabang Bikol Movement, Inc. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ensued to formalize the partnership.
