In yet another significant step towards enhancing knowledge sharing and capacity for excellent local governance, DILG 5 signed a Memorandum of Understanding with DILG IV-A and jointly conducted a Knowledge Sharing Activity at the Development Academy of the Philippines, Tagaytay City, Cavite, on July 28, 2023.

The primary objective of this MOU is to foster fruitful collaborations between the two regional offices, facilitating the exchange of internal and external knowledge pertaining to local governance capacity building and promoting good local governance practices.

DILG 5 RD Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr., CESO V, expressed his utmost gratitude towards the warm welcome of DILG IV-A in lieu of the benchmarking and knowledge exchange activity.

Aligned with the Local Governance Regional Resource Center’s (LGRRC) core value of “Sharing Knowledge, Achieving Excellence,” this joint effort aims to elevate the impact of DILG 5 LGRRC’s initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous learning, knowledge utilization, and ensuring sustained progress in promoting excellence in local governance.

This collaboration will also serve as a model for interregional partnerships, promoting a stronger and more cohesive approach to addressing governance challenges and creating positive change within communities.

Present during the activity were DILG IV-A ARD Darrel Dizon, DILG IV-A LGCDD Chief Jay Beltran, DILG IV-A personnel, Biñan City BPLO Officer Atty. Edward Arriba and DILG 5 functionaries composed of Provincial Directors, Division Chiefs, Assistant Division Chiefs, Section Chiefs, Cluster Heads, Program Managers, and other DILG 5 personnel.
