As part of the continuing efforts for local government units to better prepare for disasters and climate change, the Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Office V teamed up with the Local Government Academy for the conduct of the 1st Batch “Regional Rollout of Operation L!STO: Disaster Preparedness Manuals on July 15-16, 2024 at Ninong’s Hotel, Legazpi City.

This training program consists of sessions designed to equip the LGU officials and functionaries, police officers (PNP), and firefighters (BFP) with the knowledge they need from the Disaster Preparedness Manuals.

The learnings from this training are expected to strengthen disaster management at the local level. Further, this program aims to integrate the early and critical disaster preparedness actions outlined in the Operation L!STO Manuals into their existing Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plans (LDRRMP).
