A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by Regional Directors Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr, CESO III and Araceli A. San Jose with DILG-CAR Assistant Regional Director Ruperto B. Maribbay Jr. to establish the Bicol-Cordillera Network of Local Governance Resource Centers.

This formal partnership aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange between the Local Governance Regional Resource Centers of Bicol and the Cordillera Administrative Region. The initiative seeks to strengthen local governance, enhance service delivery, and promote innovative practices across the two regions.

During the event, the two LGRCs also shared and discussed their best practices and innovations. Highlights included DILG Region 5’s Baranggayan sa Bicol under C4PEACE’s localized implementation of the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) and DILG-CAR’s initiatives on the Drug-Free Workplace Policy and the Regional Flexible Learning and Enhanced Knowledge Sharing (ReFLEKS) program. The signing and knowledge exchange took place on December 12-13, 2024, at the Senator Nene Pimentel Hall, DILG-CAR Regional Office, in Baguio City.
