DILG 5 and Bicol Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) leads Newly Elected Official (NEO) Orientation Course for the Local Legislators of Sorsogon Province at Residencia del Hamor, Casiguran, Sorsogon, on March 22-23, 2023.

The Course opened with Messages of Support from DILG 5 Assistant Regional Director Jhoaden G. Lucero, CESO V, and distinguished officials of Sorsogon: Governor Jose Edwin B. Hamor and Vice-Governor Krunimar Antonio D. Escudero III, LGU Casiguran Mayor Ma. Minez R. Hamor, Vice Mayors’ League of the Philippines – Sorsogon President Christian D. Lim, Philippine Councilors’ League – Sorsogon President Ramon B. Escudero.

Significant features of the NEO included a series of discussions aimed at equipping the local legislators with the relevant knowledge, values, and skills for the effective and efficient performance of their legislative functions:
