In line with the Bicol Local Governance Regional Resource Center (Bicol LGRRC) commitment to fostering good governance through knowledge exchange, the DILG Region 5 conducted a capacity development activity with the DILG Catanduanes Sub-Local Governance Resource Center (Sub-LGRC) on February 7, 2025, via Zoom.

This initiative focused on the replication and institutionalization of DILG Region 5’s digital knowledge products, particularly the Oragon Singko Bulletin, one of the region’s flagship government communication tools. Seeking to enhance transparency and citizen engagement at the provincial level, DILG Catanduanes Sub-LGRC aims to adapt and institutionalize this initiative under the banner of “Istorya sa Maogmang Isla: DILG Catanduanes Bulletin.”

The session was facilitated by the Regional Communication and Information Team (RCIT) members: DMO IV Gwyneth Andrae J. Jacob – Regional Information Officer; IO III Jessie L. Hermida; and IO III Cathrynn Joyce P. Miraña.

A key discussion was led by IO III Jessie L. Hermida on leveraging Facebook Reels as a powerful platform to inform, engage, and empower the public about government programs, projects, and initiatives. Additionally, LGRC Catanduanes participants received valuable technical insights on the use of editing software for effective government communication.

Through collaborative efforts and knowledge-driven initiatives, we continue to uphold our commitment to good governance by sharing knowledge and achieving excellence!

The Regional Communication and Information Team (RCIT) serves as the communication arm of DILG Region 5, dedicated to developing and implementing strategic communication initiatives that promote transparency, good governance, and citizen engagement.
