In a bid to enhance disaster preparedness at the grassroots level, the Local Government Academy (LGA), in partnership with Save the Children Philippines (SCP), organized a Consultation Workshop on integrating the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan (BDRRMP) into the Barangay Development Plan (BDP) from May 27-29 at Wynwood Hotel Manila, 45 San Miguel Ave, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
The workshop aims to gather insights from trainers’ experiences and needs regarding BDP and BDRRMP formulation. Additionally, it seeks to generate recommendations for integrating BDRRMP into BDP processes, tools, templates, and delivery systems.
In attendance were LGOO V Ivy S. Ramirez, Local Development Planning Assistance Section Chief, along with Ms. Jo Marie Gualvez Fernandez and Ms. Christina Agnes Gabito from the Municipal Planning and Development Office of LGU Juban, Sorsogon, and Mr. Manuel D. Damo, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer of LGU Tiwi, Albay.
This activity aligns with DILG’s continuous commitment to providing technical assistance to LGUs in their disaster preparedness efforts.
