The Bicol LGRRC, through its Regional Convergence Program, facilitated the conduct of Gawad Kalasag Orientation for DILG Officers on May 14, 2024 via Zoom platform.

Resource Person Mr. Louis Jonas Lauraya, Chief of Plans and Programs of the Office of Civil Defense 5 equips DILG Officers with valuable insights that can help contribute to the increase of Gawad Kalasag passers in the region – which is an essential indicator in the Seal of Good Local Governance – Disaster Preparedness Area. Ultimately, this initiative is directed towards strengthening the region’s resilience against natural disasters, fostering a safer Philippines.
