The DILG Region 5 thru the Bicol Local Governance Regional Resource Center (Bicol LGRRC) officially launched the Innovations and Management Banking and Knowledge Sharing (IMBAK) System on October 24, 2022 at Ayala Mall, Legazpi City.
IMBAK is a knowledge sharing mechanism that enables stakeholders to deposit their knowledge products with DILG 5’s Bicol LGRRC to be used as reference by its clients in the preparation of local plans, improvement of service delivery, reference for academic research and other productive undertaking that necessitates reliable materials on local governance.
One of the highlights of the launching was the Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between DILG 5 and the 6 Pilot LGU Depositors of Bicol Region.
DILG 5 was represented by ARD Jhoaden G. Lucero, EnP, MM, CESO V. Thee following are the representatives of the LGU Depositors for the Ceremonial MOA Signing and their respective knowledge products to be deposited: Mayor Cynthia G. Falcotelo-Fortes of Barcelona, Sorsogon (Comprehensive Development Plan); Mayor Michael G. Guysayko of Bulusan, Sorsogon (CDP); Mayor Mayor Wilfredo Rex C. Oliva of Iriga City, Camarines Sur (Public Service Continuity Plan); Vice-Mayor Mark Eric C. Dioneda of Sorsogon City (CDP); Ms. Joan T. De Luna of Daet, Camarines Norte (Contingency Plan) and, Mr. Julius Celino of Ocampo, Camarines Sur (Local Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Plan).
Thereafter, a ceremonial deposit ceremony was held where the LGU representatives handed over their printed knowledge products and was received by DILG 5 thru ARD Lucero. In turn, DILG 5 awarded to the LGU Depositors the Plaque of Acknowledgment in recognition of their valuable contribution in sustaining safe, peaceful, resilient and progressive Bicol Region.
The activity was held during the two-day celebration of the Local Government Month month dubbed as “Pagsulong II: Embracing the Challenges of COVID-19 Gearing Towards Recovery” on October 23-24, 2022 at Ayala Malls, Legazpi City.
