The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region V successfully concluded the second batch of the Support to Improving LGU Compliance Learning Sessions on Local Fiscal Administration on September 19, 2025, at the Pepperland Hotel, Legazpi City.
Day 2 Highlights include:
• Analysis of SGLG Results on Financial Administration and Sustainability facilitated by PM II Richard L. Villacorte and SAO Alicia C. Manuel of the SLGP-PMO; and
• Cliniquing sessions with resource speakers from COA, DBM, BLGF, and SLGP PMO – DILG Central Office, reinforcing key learnings from Day 1 discussions.
This also marked the last day of the two-batch activity which gathered 46 LGUs regionwide, represented by their Finance Teams and led by Local Chief Executives — capping off a series of sessions that equipped LGUs with strengthened knowledge and skills in fiscal governance, and leaving them better prepared to uphold transparency, accountability, and efficiency in fiscal administration.
The LGUs were provided the opportunity to directly receive guidance and advise from subject matter experts: PM Richard Villacorte and SAO Alicia Manuel of SLGP PMO; Supervising Auditor Genaro Rejuso of COA R5; Acting ARD February Manuel and RD Francisco Bautista of DBM 5; and RD Jessie Doctolero of BLGF. This initiative was made possible through the Support for the Local Governance Program (SLGP) PMO – DILG Central Office, in partnership with the Regional Offices of BLGF, DBM, and COA.
