DILG Region V, in collaboration with the DILG-Information Systems and Technology Management Service (ISTMS) Central Office, successfully held a five-day Data Analytics Training and ICT Equipment Inspection from July 21–25, 2025, at Hotel Venezia, Legazpi City.

The activity brought together Regional Focal Persons, Administrative Officers, and RICTU staff to build their capacity in handling and interpreting data for evidence-based decision-making. Participants learned practical data analytics and visualization tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power Query, and Google Looker Studio—essential skills that will help improve internal reporting, planning, and performance monitoring in their respective offices.

ISA II Kalvin G. Gervacio and ISA I Elsie Ruth A. Ortega of DILG-ISTMS served as resource speakers throughout the activity, providing valuable inputs and hands-on guidance to ensure that the participants gain practical knowledge and applicable skills.

Subsequently, the ISTMS team also conducted an inspection of ICT equipment in the Regional Office and in the Provincial Offices of Albay and Sorsogon, to ensure that resources funded under FY 2024 are properly used, well-maintained, and compliant with national ICT standards and security protocols.

This joint effort strengthens the Region’s commitment to digital transformation, transparency, and responsive public service. DILG Region V continues to champion innovation and data-driven culture in local governance.
