The Department of the Interior and Local Government Region 5 (DILG 5) joins the celebration of the 2026 National Women’s Month this March, highlighting the empowerment, resilience, and contributions of women in public service and the community.

In support of this advocacy, DILG 5 employees donned purple, the symbolic color of women’s empowerment on March 2, 2026, and will continue to wear purple every Wednesday throughout the month. This initiative underscores the agency’s commitment to promoting gender equality and recognizing the vital role of women in governance and society.
