The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 5 successfully conducted the City and Municipalities Information Management System (CMIMS) Regional Rollout 2025, attended by DILG Field Officers and LGU representatives from the nine cities and one municipality in the Bicol Region; Legazpi City, Tabaco City, Ligao City, Sorsogon City, Masbate City, Naga City, Virac, and Daet on November 6-7, 2025 at the Proxy by the Oriental, Legazpi City, Albay.

The activity forms part of the CMIMS and Barangay Information Management System (BIMS) Rollouts, designed to drive digital transformation in local governance by enhancing efficiency, accountability, and transparency in cities, municipalities, and barangay operations.

Regional Director Atty. Arnaldo E. Escober Jr., CESO III underscored the importance of CMIMS in advancing digitalization in the Bicol Region by improving government operations.
Through a series of hands-on training sessions and walkthroughs of the LGUSS ecosystem, participants were able to explore the system’s features and functionalities. Valuable feedback gathered during the activity will guide further development and refinement of the platforms, a step forward in ensuring that digital innovations contribute to the well-being and quality of life of every Bicolano.
