Pre-planning Conference for Community Drill Simulation for Tsunami in selected Eastern Seaboard Barangays and Training on Listong Pamayanan in selected Barangays along the Major River Basin (MRB)

The DILG Provincial Operations Office conducted a Pre-planning Conference for Community Drill Simulation for Tsunami in selected Eastern Seaboard Barangays and Training on Listong Pamayanan in selected Barangays along the Major River Basin (MRB) on April 17, 2018 at Dona Jamora Hall, Villa Caceres Hotel, Naga City. This is geared towards ensuring proper coordination and synchronized efforts of all involved stakeholders particularly the PPSC-RTC V Team, the DILG Camarines Sur PO personnel, field officers, MDRRMOs and EDMERO representatives. PSupt. Randy M. Maluyo, Regional Training Director of the PPSC-RTC 5 graced the event together with DILG Regional Director Elouisa T. Pastor.

This undertaking jumpstarted the program intervention on Operation Listo of the DILG Regional Office V in partnership and coordination with the Philippine Public Safety College – Regional Training Center V for Camarines Sur. The LGA will provide the logistical support, and the DILG Camarines Sur Provincial Office will take charge of the administrative arrangements. The core activity to be conducted in June 2018 is the Listong Pamayanan: Community Drill Simulation for Tsunamis in selected barangays along the Eastern Seaboard and Training on Listong Pamayanan in selected barangays along the Major River Basin (MRB).

The programs of activity for both Eastern Seaboard and MRB were updated to fit the current needs and profile of the LGUs concerned. Revisions in the program content were approved by the PPSC representatives present during the conference. As agreed upon, the speakers/instructors shall be arranged by the PPSC-RTC V. EDMERO representative offered technical assistance in the discussion of Basic Concepts of ICS.
