Conference on SK Federation Election and SKMT 2018

The DILG-Camarines Sur conducted its monthly Provincial Executive Conference (PrExCon) last May 15, 2018 at Villa Caceres Hotel, Naga City, which was participated by all City and Municipal Government Operations Officers (C/MGOOs) of the province. The conference gave focus and emphasis on the conduct of Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Pederasyon Election as required under Republic Act 10742, otherwise known as the SK Reform Act of 2015, which shall be conducted nationwide on or before May 29, 2018 and June 13, 2018 for cities/municipalities and provinces, respectively.

Provincial Director Melody E. Relucio, CESO V discussed the guidelines of its conduct, including the Pederasyon organization and composition, timeline and venue, constitution of the Board of Election Supervisors (BES), orientation program, election proper, and oath taking.

The SK Mandatory Training (SKMT) required among newly elected SK Chairpersons in the province were also tackled in the meeting. Without completing the mandatory training, any SK Chairperson shall not be able to assume office nor be qualified to participate in the Pederasyon election.

The conference commenced on a high spirit and positive outlook towards the successful implementation of this year’s upcoming SK-related activities.
