The DILG Camarines Sur, headed by PD Melody E. Relucio, CESO V, attended the Joint Meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) today, December 2, 2022 at the Convention Center, Capitol Compound, Pili, Camarines Sur. The joint meeting was presided by Hon. Romulo O. Hernandez.
Updates on Peace and Order Situation, Civil Society Organization Selection Process, Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) and Capacitating Urban Communities for Peace and Development (CUCPD) Implementation, and Accomplishments on Anti-Illegal Drugs and Barangay Drug Clearing Program were presented by the concerned agencies. Preparations for the upcoming Christmas Holiday Season were also discussed by the Philippine National Police and Bureau of Fire Protection.
Resolutions creating the PPOC Special Action Committees and the Local Anti-Drug Plan of Action Technical Working Group (LADPA-TWG) were also approved. The DILG also sought the support of the councils to the Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) Program, the Department’s National Advocacy Campaign on Drug Demand Reduction which was officially launched on November 26, 2022.
The DILG also serves as the secretariat to the two councils.
