DILG Camarines Sur, headed by the new Provincial Director, Julius Rodel L. Cal-Ortiz, CESE, attended the Joint Meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) on January 17, 2023 at Villa Del Rey, Capitol Complex, Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur.

The meeting was presided by Governor Vincenzo Renato Luigi R. Villafuerte as represented by Hon. Romulo O. Hernandez, Provincial Board Member.

Situationer on peace and order and the adoption of KASIMBAYANAN Framework were presented by Camarines Sur Police Provincial Office (CSPPO) headed by PCol Julius Caesar M Domingo. The Philippine Army, thru LTC Rodito A Gotaldera, Commanding Officer of the 83rd Infantry Batallion, 9ID, also provided updates on insurgency in areas of operations. Highlights and accomplishments in relation to the intensified Barangay Drug-Clearing Program were also presented by IA V Mark Anthony M. Viray of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Camarines Sur.

During the joint meeting, a resolution approving the CY 2023 Peace and Order Plan and Budget was also approved.

Pursuant to DILG MC No. 2019-143 and DILG-DDB JMC No. 2018-01, the DILG serves as the Secretariat of the two Councils.
