As one of the agencies tasked to oversee, monitor and provide technical assistance in the preparation and implementation of LGU DTPs, the DILG Camarines Sur conducted a two-day Follow-Through on the Finalization of Capacity Development (CapDev) Agenda vis-a-vis Updated Devolution Transition Plan and Comprehensive Development Plan and Executive and Legislative Agenda for 4th to 6th Class municipalities of Camarines Sur on November 15-16, 2022 at Villa Caceres Hotel, Naga City.
During the activity, representatives from the LGUs designated as CapDev Focal Persons were provided with technical assistance by the DILG Camarines Sur Capacity Development Team headed by Provincial Director, Melody E. Relucio, CESO V and Cluster Head LGOO VII Shielame B. Villa, Lead Facilitator. Also present to provide guidance to the participants during the workshop are the MLGOOS of the participating LGUs.
The activity primarily aims to reinforce the knowledge of LGU CapDev Focal Persons on the process of CapDev Agenda Formulation and its importance on the implementation of full devolution. It was also conducted to assist the LGUs in finalizing their comprehensive Capacity Development (CapDev) Agenda which will serve as a roadmap of appropriate individual and organizational enhancement interventions and strategies to strengthen LGU capacity to absorb, manage, and sustain the responsibilities in implementing the devolved functions and services.
