On March 17-19, 2021, the 3-Day Training on the Preparation of the E-LCCAP was conducted at Prime Suite Hotel, Daet, Camarines Norte. It was participated by four (4) LGU key personnel from LGUs Capalonga, Labo, San Vicente, Talisay, and Vinzons, respectively, in charge of the formulation of the afore-mentioned plan.
This initiative of the Department strengthened the technical skills of the five (5) LGUs in E-LCCAP formulation that helped the LGUs reduce its exposure and sensitivity to climate change-related hazards, and at the same time increase their resiliency to climatic and non-climactic stressors.
After the 3-day activity, participants were able to refresh their learnings on the following:
- To situate the LCCAP in the CDP using CDRA Tool
- To incorporate priority decision area or sectoral planning concerns including its potential adaptation and mitigation options
- To formulate a draft Enhanced Local Climate Change Adaptation Plan
The activity employed face-to-face (participants) set-up and various workshops.
