The DILG RV, through the Regional Program Management Office (RPMO) headed by LGOO VI Darlyn D. Ayende, conducted the training and workshop on the Strategic Planning and Formulation of Action Plan for the Conduct of Evaluation and Documentation of Support to Barangay Development Plan (SBDP) Projects for Project Evaluation Officers (PEOs) on July 6-7, 2022 at the Training Hall, DILG Regional Office 5, Legazpi City.


The two-day training provided the PEOs from the Regional and Provincial Offices updates on the 1) SBDP, 2) Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP), 3) SubayBAYAN, 4) Third-Party Monitoring (TPM), and 5) Results-based Monitoring for Local Infrastructure Projects (RLIP), and capacitated them on the documentation of completed FY 2021 SBDP projects. The PEOs also prepared their Individual Action Plan and presented the same for critiquing as their outputs during the activity.


Assistant Regional Director Jhoaden G. Lucero, EnP, MM, CESO V, in her message, enlightened the PEOs on the importance of emphasizing the purpose of DILG programs, such as ending local communist armed conflict and building quality infrastructures, among others, by providing projects that aim to develop and sustain better communities. Meanwhile, Regional Director Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda, CESO III highlighted the need to document and communicate to the public accomplishments on SBDP and RCSP as part of the Department’s efforts to sustain support for peace and development-challenged barangays in the region.
The training and workshop are among the initiatives of the DILG 5 designed to boost efforts on the implementation of SBDP, RCSP, and other priority programs this year.
