A Press Launch of the 2022 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) was conducted on August 8, 2022 at Hotel Iñigo, Legazpi City, and broadcasted live via Philippine Information Agency (PIA) 5 media channels and through various local media outlets.

As the host agency, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) 5 through Regional Director Cynthia L. Perdiz, CESO V engaged concerned stakeholders including Local Government Units (LGUs), regional line agencies, and the general public in a thorough discussion of the CBMS. RD Perdiz highlighted the CBMS’ importance in gearing LGUs towards evidence-based planning and furthered on the major activities involved in the nationwide 2022 CBMS implementation to commence this August.

The press launch also provided an avenue for a dialogue among the implementing agencies, LGUs, and the media in aim of addressing issues and leveling expectations during the data enumeration.
DILG 5 Regional Director Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda, CESO III and DICT 5 Regional Director Engr. Carmela P. Valencia expressed their message of support to the CBMS implementation in Bicol Region as members of the CBMS Council. NEDA 5 Assistant Regional Director Edna Cynthia S. Berces, DSWD 5 Regional Director Leo L. Quintilla, and heads of other regional line agencies likewise extended their commitment in assisting the Council in ensuring the successful implementation of the CBMS.
