As part of strengthening its organizational capacity and ensuring the unhampered public service delivery, DILG Region 5 conducted a Training-Workshop on the Formulation of Public Service Continuity Plan (PSCP) on December 8-10, 2021 at New Blossoms Hotel, Daraga, Albay. The activity was in partnership with the Local Government Academy and was made possible with the technical assistance rendered by the Office of Civil Defense 5 (OCD 5).

Present in the activity were OIC-ARD Uldarico S. Razal, Jr., FAD Chief Alfredo S. Sallan, LGCDD Chief Ma. Ruthel P. Gigantoca, LGMED Chief Olivio S. Ramirez, key personnel from the various divisions and operating units, and representatives of the six (6) Provincial Offices.

The PSCP is an all-hazard plan that aims to ensure continuous delivery of services to the public amid any disruption. The formulation of the plan is in compliance with NDRRMC Memorandum No. 33 s. 2018 and CSC MC No. 02, s. 2021.

At the end of the training workshop, a Draft PSCP was formulated for the DILG Regional Office. The latter is now finalizing its PSCP and aims to have the plan approved by the first quarter of 2022. While, the DILG Provincial Offices shall craft a separate plan for their respective offices using the workshop outputs from this 3-day activity and the PSCP of the Regional Office as guide.
