The DILG Region 5, through the Bicol Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC), conducts the four-day Training-Workshop on the Formulation of Local Climate Change Action Plan (LCCAP) from June 13-16, 2022 at Hotel St. Ellis, Legazpi City, Albay.

The training-workshop has a total of 92 participants composed of Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs), Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officers (LDRRMOs), Municipal Planning and Development Coordinators (MPDCs), and other technical staff from the 39 Local Government Units (LGUs) of the six provinces of Bicol Region.

DILG Region 5’s DRR-CCA Trainers LGOO VI Allen Roy O. Prila (DILG Libmanan), LGOO VI Michaelangelo R. Severa (DILG Caramoan), and LGOO V Leonard Champ E. Navarro II (DILG RO) serve as the lead Resource Persons for the four-day activity, while Ms. Danielle Marie Torralba and Mr. Lourd Jaynel Salido of the Climate Change Commission (CCC) also render technical assistance.

The learning activity aims to capacitate LGUs in the utilization of scientific tools and processes in the formulation of their respective LCCAPs. The DILG Region 5 endeavors to build disaster-resilient and climate change-adaptive communities as a strategy in sustainable development through the provision of responsive interventions to LGUs.
