As advocates of good governance, DILG R5 constantly collaborates with various agencies and institutions to further strengthen its effort to capacitate local government units. In line with this, DILG R5 launched the Bicol LGRRC Exhibit on November 26, 2021. It showcases the major activities of DILG R5 with its MSAC partners. In addition, the following facilities were also inaugurated:

  1. The LGRRC Knowledge Hub (Library) where DILG knowledge products are lodged and is open to all researchers; and
  2. The Emergency and Health Operations Center (EHOC) which shall serve as the main OpCen for monitoring and coordinating responses during disaster.

The Bicol Express for Excellence in Governance (BEEG Trip) – the avenue for capacity development interventions of the LGRRC was also launched.

The activity was graced by DILG RD Atty. Anthony C. Nuyda, OIC-ARD Uldarico S. Razal, Jr., CESE, Provincial Directors, Division Chiefs and LGRRC members. Former ASec. Josefina Castilla-Go, LGA RPDD Chief Marciana Obispo and Project Officer Amica Laine Franciso were also in attendance.

MSAC partners present during the activity were Dr. Arnulfo Mascarinas, Bicol University President, Atty. Joseph Bartolata, BU VP for Admin and Finance, OIC-ARD Antonio Villanueva, Jr. of DBM, Supt. Bernadette Madrid of BFP, Engr. Jose Alfonso Barizo of Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners – Albay Chapter and Ms. Karla The Manlangit of OCD. The rest of the LGRRC-MSAC partners and sub-LGRRC members joined the momentous event via Zoom.
