Over 20,000 seedlings are set to be planted in 10 identified sites across Bicol region during the Nationwide Simultaneous Bamboo and Tree Planting Activity on September 13, 2022. Volunteers from the government and private sectors join together at the following selected planting sites in Bicol region, covering a total of 35.4 hectares planting area :San Francisco, LegazpiTuaca, Basud, Camarines NorteNaga View, Adventist College, Panicuason, Naga CityBiong, Cabusao, Camarines SurSto. Niño, Ocampo, Camarines SurMaysalay, Goa, Camarines SurSta. Ana/San Juan, Panganiban, CatanduanesMR Espinosa, Milagros, MasbateLampuyang, Pio V. Cruz, MasbateDinapa, Castilla, Sorsogon.

The tree planting activity is spearheaded by the Regional Offices of Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), and Department of Agriculture (DA), in partnership with Local Government Units (LGUs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), stakeholders, and other private institutions.
With the theme, “Buhayin ang Pangangalaga sa Kalikasan,” the tree planting activity is one of the initiatives on advocating environmental management towards greener and safer communities.
